Introducing the Pesto Tray Mode

Teams love using Pesto because they can instantly communicate with their teammates. ⚡

But oftentimes when you want to start a conversation in Pesto, pulling up the full Pesto window disrupts you from what you're currently working on.

That's why we're excited to announce the Pesto tray mode to speed up your communication while keeping you in your groove. 🕺🏼  You can get started using the Pesto tray window by clicking on the Pesto icon in the tray.

If you use Windows, you can find the Pesto tray icon in your system task bar. Here's how to find it and pin it.

Here's the full list of what the Pesto tray allows you to do:

🗣️ See the online users in your team
#️⃣ See who's chatting in the team rooms
🎙️ Mute and unmute yourself
📽️ Turn your video on and off
🖥️ Start and stop sharing your screen
✏️ Edit your status
🟢 Go online and offline

Mute, turn on your video, share your screen

Setting your status

Go online or offline

We removed our scheduled boot feature with this latest release and instead introduced a way to set yourself online/offline. We will still use your current schedule settings to notify you through the tray window when you are scheduled to go online or offline.

Running in the background

When you close the main window, Pesto will automatically close your door and continue to run in the background. You can configure this behavior by tweaking the tray settings in the Interface tab of your user settings.

Let us know what you think about the Pesto tray mode by messaging the "Pesto team" in the app. What other features would you like to see in the Pesto tray window? 🤔
